Policy on Scientific Articles at the Universidad Católica "Nuestra Señora de la Asunción"

Abstract

The Catholic University "Our Lady of the Assumption," in line with its mission and foundational objectives, is committed to teaching, outreach, and scientific research in order to contribute to a better country, fostering constant dialogue and the promotion of Christian thought and values. Concerning research, the Catholic University "Our Lady of the Assumption" actively promotes the development of this activity in all areas of knowledge, considering it a valid path for the genuine development of Paraguayan society as a whole. Scientific research at the Catholic University "Our Lady of the Assumption," in alignment with its Christian principles and values, may take the form of a) research reports, b) books, c) theses, d) dissertations, and e) scientific articles. While all forms of scientific dissemination are recognized as valid, especially depending on the context in which they are conducted, "the writing of scientific articles" is considered fundamental. Since the 21st century, it is widely known that scientific production in the form of articles is one of the main indicators in university rankings. This activity will be primarily carried out by researchers, professors, and students of the Catholic University "Our Lady of the Assumption," who will generate original and unpublished empirical or bibliographic research. In this regard, this document plays a fundamental role, as its aim is to define and establish the foundations for the publication and promotion of scientific articles within the Catholic University "Our Lady of the Assumption."
